THE 39TH EDITION OF THE FESTIVAL WILL TAKE PLACE FROM JULY 23 TO 26, 2026!

CALLFOR SUBMISSIONS
The call for submissions for the Off Selectionand the Lieux de Convivialité closed on January 8, 2026. No submissions will be accepted after this deadline via email. 
Responses for the Social Spaces will be sent in mid-March 2026.
Responses for the Off Selection will be sent in late March 2026.

THE CHALON DANS LA RUE FESTIVAL IN A NUTSHELL

A leading event in the field of public space performance, the Chalon dans la rue festival showcases the latest trends in street arts. Every year, nearly 150 French and international companies take over Chalon-sur-Saône. 

Artistic projects are selected: In Selection, Tandem Authors
or scheduled: Off Selection

No particular form or discipline is favored.
Established companies mingle with newer ones, street arts with digital arts, and live theater with performance art. Some works examine society, while others embrace the nightlife, break away from “conventional formats,” propose alternative timelines, or follow more traditional paths. 

For four days, the city becomes a vast canvas for creative expression, where new forms of dialogue between artists, the city, artworks, and audiences take shape.
