Là devant nous, un homme est allongé, la tête plantée dans le sol. De ce corps sans tête, des mouvements commencent à apparaître. D’abord contenus, tels des réactions à quelques stimuli invisibles, ils deviennent grands, excessifs. Puis le corps se dresse comme un totem. Des mots se font ensuite entendre. Underground est une pièce sur l’invisible dans laquelle le corps d’un danseur et les mots qui l’accompagnent donnent accès à un monde impénétrable : ce sous-sol, si proche et pourtant à jamais inconnu. L’autre côté du miroir. Plonger dans l'Underground, c’est mettre le corps à un endroit frontière : dans le monde des vivants mais aussi un peu ailleurs. Et là, à la limite du franchissement, chercher ce qui jaillit, ce qui bouge, ce qui danse. Ce qui garde vivant, malgré tout.
Here, just in front of us, a man is lying down with his head in the ground. From this headless body, movements begin to appear. At first restrained, like reactions to some invisible stimulus, they become large, excessive. Then the body rises up, like a totem and words are heard. "Underground" is a piece about the invisible, where the body of a dancer and a mysterious sound design give access to an impenetrable world: that Underground, so close and yet forever unknown. The other side of the mirror. Diving into the earth means putting your body at that frontier point: in the world of the living, but also a little elsewhere. And there, at the edge of the crossing, to look for what springs forth, what moves, what dances. What keeps us alive, certainly
