CHALON STREET FESTIVAL
The IN Selection is part of the artistic program organized year-round by the National Center for Street Arts and Public Space (CNAREP) in Chalon-sur-Saône.
Here, artistic creation is viewed as a unifying force, to be placed at the heart of our social interactions, reaching out to all audiences and fostering shared artistic experiences where collaboration fuels creativity. The performances in the IN Selection are programmed by Nathalie Cixous, the director of the festival and of CNAREP.
They offer an eclectic and socially conscious showcase of contemporary art and poetically explore the public space in its geographical, physical, and political dimensions. A popular and unifying event, a unifying moment for the profession, Chalon dans la rue remains the event for authors and creators of street arts and public space—a festival that is both forward-looking and a major witness to the history of street arts.
