THE ADVENTURE

Guinguette Plantes is a collective project to collaboratively create an artistic installation centered on plants, premiering in the Aubépins neighborhood and during the Chalon dans la rue 2026 festival. It is designed in connection with a local community and the people who live there.

Organized by the theater company La Belle Aventure, the project invites residents of the Aubépins neighborhood—and anyone else who wishes to participate—to take part in a collaborative artistic creation.
The starting point: plants—those that grow around us, those we use in cooking or for healing, and those that evoke memories, stories, and everyday routines.

Guinguette Plantes will explore the area and its plants, culminating in a festive culinary event during the Chalon dans la rue festival. 

For this project, La Belle Aventure will be offering a series of activities to the residents of Les Aubépins and anyone else who is interested, with two goals in mind: to raise awareness and foster discussion around the theme of plants and vegetation, and to involve residents who wish to participate in the creative process.

HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE?
Several workshops open to everyone are being offered at the Maison de Quartier des Aubépins.
You can participate in one, two, or three workshops, depending on your interests and availability.

WORKSHOPS

• Neighborhood Stories & Memories
Fridays, January 30, February 27, and March 27 – 3:00–5:00 p.m.
Here, we draw inspiration from the neighborhood and its history to fuel our creativity. We share our stories, memories, and tales—both big and small—and why not add a touch of greenery?  

Note: Want to share your story but can’t make it during this time slot? Feel free to stop by anytime on Saturday or Sunday between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

• Theater & Movement
Saturdays, January 31, February 28, and March 28 – 3:00–5:00 p.m.
For anyone who wants to take part in the show and become an actor or actress!

• Plant-Based Cooking
Sundays, February 1, March 1, and March 29 – 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Here, we create, develop, and prepare plant-based recipes for the aperitif served to the audience on performance days. 

• Wild basket weaving workshop: Sunday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. / 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. or all day!
Potluck lunch / Free, registration recommended – open to all

GAME DATES

• Saturday, May 30, 2026, excerpts. At the Abattoir site during the public presentation of the Chalon dans la rue festival
• Friday, June 19, 2026, at 7 p.m., preview in the Aubépins neighborhood.
• July 23–25, 2026 (exact dates to be announced), during the Chalon dans la rue festival, in the Aubépins neighborhood.

Note: Additional preparation sessions or rehearsals may be offered depending on the group.

THE COMPANY

La Belle Aventure is a group. Made up of people with diverse backgrounds, professions, and skills, all are eager to create experiences that combine the desire to create, to learn, to dream, and to be together—all to share and pass on the spirit of curiosity and action.
