The call for applications for the Off Selection and Places of Conviviality closed on January 8, 2026. No applications will be accepted after this date via email.
Responses for Places of Conviviality will be sent out in mid-March 2026.
Responses for the Off Selection will be sent out at the end of March 2026.

THE CHALON DANS LA RUE FESTIVAL IN A FEW WORDS

The Chalon dans la rue festival is a key event for creative expression in public spaces, a festive and vibrant celebration of shared culture. Every year for more than 30 years, 150 French and international companies have taken over Chalon-sur-Saône, transforming the city into a monumental urban stage.

The artistic projects are scheduled: In Selection (= the In Selection), Tandem Authors
or selected : Off Selection (= Off Selection)

Launched in 2020, “L’Aube de la création” is a program designed to promote artistic discovery and support for artistic creation in public spaces, offered by the Chalon dans la rue festival.

No form or discipline is given special treatment.
Established companies mingle with newer ones, street arts with digital arts, and the performing arts. Some works challenge society, while others embrace the nightlife, subvert “conventional formats,” propose alternative temporalities, or follow more traditional paths. 

For four days, the city becomes a vast canvas for expression, where new forms of dialogue between artists, the city, artistic creations, and the public are imagined.
