CHALON DANS LA RUE FESTIVAL
The IN Selection is part of the artistic program organized year-round by the Centre National des Arts de la Rue et de l'Espace Public (CNAREP) in Chalon-sur-Saône.
Artistic creation is seen as a unifying force, to be placed at the heart of our social interactions, to reach out to all audiences, and to foster shared artistic experiences where collaboration fuels creativity. The performances in the IN Selection are curated by Nathalie Cixous, the director of the festival and the CNAREP.
This lineup of shows offers an eclectic and thought-provoking selection of contemporary works and explores public space in its geographical, physical, and political dimensions.
A popular and unifying event, a unifying moment for the profession, Chalon dans la rue also remains the premier event for authors, creators, and practitioners of street arts and public space, a festival that looks to the future while remaining deeply rooted in the history of street arts.
