“We lie to hide ourselves. To hide ourselves, yet to be found. For hiding is a pleasure, but not being found is a catastrophe.” Donald Winnicott One day, Camille lied to her friends Laurine and Marguerite. The day the truth came out, they wanted to understand: why do we lie? Drawing on interviews, the three actresses create an anatomy of the lie, leading us down the (false) paths of human truth. What truth lies behind our lies? What is this terror of simply being oneself that drives us to fabricate a myth about ourselves? On the Edge of Credibility is a kaleidoscopic narrative inspired by a series of testimonies. Three actresses take on these stories before an audience witnessing a ceremony of self-revelation. Perhaps the audience will recognize itself… A production supported by the Fonds Parla (Mixt - Grand T, Nantes).

Warning: This performance may be disturbing to some viewers.

"We lie to hide ourselves. And to be found. Because hiding is a joy, but not being found is a disaster." — Donald Winnicott One day, Camille lied to her friends Laurine and Marguerite. When the truth came out, they wanted to understand: why do we lie? Drawing on real interviews, the three performers conduct an anatomy of lying that guides us down the (false) trails of human truth. What truths lie hidden behind our lies? What is this fear of simply being ourselves that drives us to construct a myth of who we are? "On the Verge of Believability" is a kaleidoscopic piece of storytelling, based on a series of personal testimonies. Three actresses bring these stories to life before an audience invited to witness a ceremony of self-revelation. Some may even recognize something of themselves… Winners of the PARLA FUND 2025 (Mixt – Grand T, Nantes).
