Adrien Taffanel, 5’6”, 140 lbs, isn’t the fighting type. Yet, in *Avant l’esquive*, he takes two iconic objects from the world of boxing—gloves and a punching bag—and integrates them into his circus-inspired world. “Why do you box?” Rocky replies, “Well, I can’t sing or dance.” Adrien, on the other hand, will sing and dance. He’ll turn punches into acrobatics and knockout blows into handstands.
At 5'6" and 139 pounds, Adrien Taffanel isn't the fighting type. Yet in "Avant l'esquive," he takes two icons from the world of boxing—the gloves and the heavy bag—and brings them into his circus universe. Adrian: Why do you want to fight? Rocky: Because I can’t sing or dance. Adrien, for his part, can do both. He will turn punches into acrobatics and the struggle to recover from a knockout into a handstand.
