Biographies is a piece for a juggler and a rapper, in which the audience is invited into the juggler’s inner world and can hear her thoughts. She juggles to the rhythm of her reflections, which are recited to the audience by a rapper. She follows the flow of her thoughts, which are sometimes concrete, sometimes abstract. The juggling echoes this; the throws are timed word for word, and the tricks connect with the lyrics—sometimes illustratively, sometimes more abstractly. A special bond connects the juggler and the rapper. The latter is her spokesperson; he knows her thoughts by heart. And he will remember them in 10 years, in 30 years, because he never forgets a rhyme. The text will remain unchanged in his mind, unlike the show itself, which will gradually age, along with its performers.
