Four enigmatic and colorful characters appear in the soundscape. Little by little, they begin to imbue ordinary objects in their surroundings with a poetic quality, magically adding appendages, transformable elements, inflatable parts… The air then begins to vibrate with unprecedented resonances and harmonies. All of this is done with poetry, humor, and… no electricity! Chiche ?! Chiche?! is a sound-based, poetic, and eco-friendly performance that dares to break free from all things digital—and even electricity—in a walk-through format designed for the specific venue. Chiche! as in frugal, economical, modest; and chiche? as in a challenge, an adventure, an unknown path. Chiche?! is aimed at audiences of all ages, including very young ears, and brings them together—without language or cultural barriers—in a shared, sensitive, and attentive listening experience.
Four enigmatic and colorful characters slip into the soundscape. What mysterious task are they carrying out? They begin to poeticize certain ordinary objects already present in the environment—the "ready-mades"—transforming them into musical objects through strange appendages and other playful contraptions. The air begins to vibrate with unheard resonances and harmonies. All this with poetry, humor, and... without electricity! "Chiche?!" (Dare we?!) "Chiche?!" is a sound-based, poetic, and ecological performance that takes on the challenge of freeing itself from all things digital—and even from electricity—through a wandering, site-specific form imagined for each location. "Chiche?!" is aimed at audiences of all generations, including very young listeners, bringing them together—without barriers of language or culture—in a shared, sensitive, and attentive listening experience.
