And you, what do you carry? is a journey through space without touching the ground. In the distance, a duo takes shape; one becomes the other’s territory, their path stretching toward the audience. Nearby, an actress delivers a monologue that bridges the distance and connects their bodies to the space, the environment, and the audience, gently questioning who we are through the act of being carried. At the heart of this journey lies the relationship, the connection to the other. After three years of research centered on the question “And you, what do you carry?”, the company returns to the public space through this performance to share, in its own way, the responses of the people encountered throughout the research. Laëtitia Andrieu’s texts serve as the link between the sensitive bodies and the places traversed.
"Et toi, qu'est-ce que tu portes?" is a journey through space without touching the ground. In the distance, a duo takes shape; one becomes the other’s territory, and their trajectory stretches toward the audience. An actress delivers a monologue that bridges the distance and connects their bodies to space, to the environment, and to the audience, gently questioning who we are through acrobatic lifts. The most important thing is the relationship—the connection to the other. "Porter" is a verb that has many different meanings in French, such as to carry, to support, to feel, to endure, to hope, and so many others. After three years of research around this word, the company reconnects with public space through this performance in order to deposit there, in its own way, the answers it has found. Texts serve as the link between the sensitive bodies and the places traversed. There is also a forest version of this show.
