A mechanical music machine powered exclusively by human muscle power, the CarmenCycletta was built in 1936 in the DYNAMOGèNE workshops. Pablo Picasso is said to have remarked that it was a subtle blend of Manolo Caracol for the artistic side and Federico Bahamontes for the cycling aspect. Demonstration & parade depending on the mood of the day—but be warned, this machine is not for sale! If you love flamenco, you’re in for a treat! If you love mechanics, you’re in for a treat! If you love both flamenco and mechanics, it’s pure ecstasy—you’re in for a double treat! And, if by some misfortune, you don’t like either flamenco or mechanics—it happens... Don’t worry; just know that, according to the basic principles of modern elementary arithmetic, which state that minus times minus equals plus, well, you’re in for an even better treat—twice the fun!
