Chantal’s Strip is a cry of love. It’s about breaking free from the clichés that trap us and give us insecurities. It’s about taking striptease beyond the stereotypes we usually associate with it. In reality, it’s about working on a process of shedding layers. This show is a way to desexualize the human body, to find a freedom and a sense of breathing that is often stifled by old, ancestral codes. A space centered on modesty and self-acceptance—embracing our strengths and our flaws. Imagine the character of Carmen Cru performing at the Moulin Rouge in Paris, or Coluche in the role of James Bond. Chantal’s Strip is a look at the plight of today’s working classes. Life is getting so expensive that we’re all going to have to do as Chantal and Jean-Benoît do: organize sessions of “inte-graal” well-being for the good of humanity.
