“You’re listening to RADIO PHÉNIX. We’re on the FM band. The next eclipse is coming. It’ll be wild and beautiful, just like in ’99. That’s the day we finally understood. Birds have intentions. We’re Grace, Alma, and Léonard. We’re going to spill everything from our pirate radio station. Tune in or come see us at the booth.” MURMURATION[S] tells the story of birds. The birds that make us coexist with the wild everywhere and all the time. It is an immersive poetic science fiction that creates mirror effects between them and us. It highlights our different ways of relating, of inhabiting, of forming society. The writing is inspired by three years of research with ornithologists and residents who wanted to explore this very question with us. It is a quadraphonic performance designed to sharpen contemplation and listening—and perhaps to hear Hitchcock whistling by.

We’re Grace, Alma, and Leonard. We’re going to spill it all out from our pirate radio station. Tune in or come stand in front of the booth." "MURMURATION[S]" is about birds. Birds that make us exist alongside them in the wild, everywhere and at all times. It’s an immersive poetic sci-fi, creating mirrors between them and us.
