“Something’s moving! Did you see that? No? Are you sure? I swear that bush wasn’t there a minute ago… Did you take my pancake?” There are two of them. One is ready to explore. The other is mostly just hungry… They camouflage themselves to hunt and survive. In a world where no one else is like them anymore and food is abundant, they’ll quickly learn the rules: begging, stealing, seducing, competing, fighting, allying, worshipping. Sapiens Sapiens emerges to hold up a version of ourselves that isn’t so far removed from who we are. The project seeks to restore the senses as the primary means of connecting to the world. Before any thought, sensation is for us the personal revelation that we exist. “I feel, therefore I am” thus becomes our parable to joyfully cure ourselves of the terrible Western confusion: “I think, therefore I am”!
