There before us, a man lies with his head pressed into the ground. Movements begin to emerge from this headless body. At first restrained, like reactions to some invisible stimuli, they grow larger, more excessive. Then the body rises like a totem. Words are then heard. Underground is a piece about the invisible in which a dancer’s body and the words that accompany it open the door to an impenetrable world: that underground realm, so close and yet forever unknown. The other side of the mirror. To dive into the Underground is to place the body at a borderline: in the world of the living but also a little elsewhere.  And there, on the threshold of crossing over, seeking what springs forth, what moves, what dances. What keeps us alive, despite everything.

Here, right in front of us, a man is lying down with his head pressed into the ground. From this headless body, movements begin to emerge. At first restrained, like reactions to some invisible stimulus, they become large, excessive. Then the body rises up, like a totem, and words are heard. "Underground" is a piece about the invisible, where the body of a dancer and a mysterious sound design open the door to an impenetrable world: that Underground, so close and yet forever unknown. The other side of the mirror. Diving into the earth means placing your body at that frontier: in the world of the living, yet also a little elsewhere. And there, at the edge of the crossing, to seek out what springs forth, what moves, what dances. What keeps us alive, certainly
