A choreographic work for seven performers, blending contemporary dance and Argentine tango. Dancers, a circus artist, and a singer move through a space devoid of fixed points of reference or a sense of time. Through the convergence of different aesthetics, Viens M'embrasser scrutinizes the individual, observes their needs and encounters, and pulses to the rhythm of vital impulses: to love, to belong, to connect, to embrace, to kiss. Against a backdrop of retro, electro, tango, and live vocals, bodies engage, norms waver, and clichés shatter. Feminine and masculine blend together. No sequined dresses, but tuxedos and scarlet lipstick for all, in this piece that blurs the boundaries of gender. Viens M'embrasser is an emotional performance to be felt with the skin: like a shiver that runs through you, a reassuring embrace, a surprising blow.
