FAI-AR Class of 2010
November 4–16, 2024
From November 4 to 16, 2024, CNAREP will host the 14 FAI-AR apprentices as part of one of their training modules: the Directing Workshop.
These two weeks will give them the opportunity to explore the unique challenges of directing artistic teams in the creation and performance of public space productions. In this context, they will practice directing performers while taking into account dramaturgical and spatial considerations, as well as the well-being of the teams, health, the quality of workplace relationships, the setting, communication, and collaboration…
How can you initiate, organize, and sustain a collaborative effort? How can you learn to communicate the artistic challenges of a production when directing? What should you focus on with your team to foster a certain creative dynamic?
For the occasion, the apprentices will be guided by the artistic duo Pina Wood—director, playwright, and poet—and Julie Lefebvre—author and mentor.
