Together We're Going Too Far (working title)
November 20–23, 2024
; February 17–22, 2025
Artistic genre: Street theater
Year the show was created: 2025
Three somewhat lost individuals—"surplus" people, anonymous figures among the anonymous—emerge from a crowd.
Unbeknownst to them, they will take part in a real-life social psychology experiment, sometimes as guinea pigs, witnesses, or instigators.
How can we bring out collective intelligence, "the wisdom of crowds," or the dumbing down of the masses!
Through interactive experiences with the audience, anecdotes, individual stories, and the grand history of peoples, we set out to explore the social animal that is the human being. An animal that goes far, very far... Too far?
The objectives of the residency:
Since our characters are drawn from reality, from the here and now, how should we engage with the audience?
What theatrical conventions and types of fiction will frame our group "experiences"?
Explorations of narrative structure, the tone of the texts, and what lies beyond the words
