Cows graze in a meadow. All you can see are them and the sky. Sitting facing the meadow, you contemplate this scene from the everyday life of the herd. After a while, you spot a woman in the middle of this scene; a human, a lone figure in the landscape. Disillusioned with human society, a misanthrope of a new kind, she has retreated there. She seeks her place in the meadow, trying to blend into the herd and become part of the landscape. She encounters a different relationship with time, space, language, and living beings. With gentleness and awkwardness, the human tries to coexist—without taming.

Goals of the residency: First residency with the finalized script. Fieldwork, with the script memorized, alongside the cows: exploring how a written script adapts to the real, ever-changing interplay of performance, time, and space. Initial testing of the stage design and the start of sound research.
