Authors in Tandem - Street and Public Space Arts & Theater

Lock Up the Youth (working title)

February 23–27, 2026
April 20–25, 2026

Kalinka Bois-Masson & Anaïs de Clercq

Artistic genre: street theater

“We’re still in the early stages, but we want to focus on building connections with the families of juvenile detainees. We plan to meet with and gather testimonials from juveniles in detention as well as their families, and explore this topic further to create a street theater performance.”

The objectives of the residency

For this residency, our goal is to ground our work in a specific space in order to create room for improvisation. We will also move forward with the writing process and experiment with the spaces we discover in Chalon-sur-Saône.
The duo will return several times for residencies at CNAREP Chalon dans la rue and will present a work-in-progress during the Chalon dans la rue festival.
