METAMORTEM - A Mortal Ceremony

April 14–19, 2025

Artistic genre: Interactive public art installation, storytelling, and immersive experience
Year the show was created: 2025

At Grandpa’s funeral, the officiant got his first name wrong, the ashes fell in a heap, and nobody said a word.
What if we could do it all over again? When a party goes wrong, we throw a counter-party: it often happens in the kitchen, we’re crammed in, nothing’s planned, but that’s where the heart of the party is! Yes, let’s do it: a counter-celebration! And you’re all invited, living or not.
In the heart of the public space, 200 spectators take part in this rematch.

The objectives of the residency:
This residency marks the final stage of shaping the production. The residency’s final performance serves as a sort of initial test of the production’s overall form, allowing the company to understand the production as a whole.
